Abstract

Pericardial cysts are benign congenital anomalies of the middle mediastinum. They may also appear secondarily to hydatid disease, tuberculosis, post surgery. Majority of the patients a r e asymptomatic and are detected incidentally when evaluated for some other cause. We report a patient with an unusual site of pericardial cyst. Pericardial cysts are diagnosed by computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance(MR) imaging and managed by follow up, percutaneous aspiration or surgical excision.
